Artecon's 4mm DAT Stacker Subsystems are high-capacity, 4mm DAT storagesolutions. Arte-STAK cartridge handling system is a compact, desktopenclosure with total backup capacity of up to 96 GB. Artecon's DATStacker uses a robotic 3-D, four-bar linkage to provide 6 degrees offreedom in movement during insertion and removal of cassettes. Thisensures long term cassette insertion and ejection reliability.Random Access Seek allows high-speed access to any file on any tape. TheDAT Stacker is bundled with Artecon's DumpTool software, and the Arte-STAK library management software package that makes DAT cartridgehandling as simple as clicking on an icon. Arte-STAK's transparent autochange feature provides nearline access typically found only in opticaljukeboxes. The subsystems are available in desktop and rack-mount models.
